Our FAQ’s aim to help you find out the information you need about our debt collection services and to be able to make an informed decision concerning using our company. What does First Collect International offer?

 
A full UK and International overdue account collection service. We also offer a UK and International Tracing service to locate “gone away” debtors or customers, UK & International Credit Reporting and a Terms & Conditions Review service. Specialist services such as Sovereign Debt Recovery & Purchase along with Asset Disposal & Dispute Resolution offer our clients a “one stop” solution for all their needs.

 

What information do you need to collect a debt?

 
We must have full name and address, telephone and fax numbers, email addresses, amount outstanding and dates of invoices. We would also like to have copies of any relevant letters, invoices/statements, notes of conversations and any other information relating to the history of the debt.

 

What do you do to collect an account?

 
A combination of letters faxes and telephone calls. It is proven that telephone calls and personal contact are more effective in collecting debts.There are no fixed procedures as each debt and circumstances are different. We offer full litigation against any business and private individuals, including attachment of earnings, bankruptcy, property charges, winding up petitions and all other enforcement methods. ALL International Claims are handled by a local agent in the country and usually county of the debtor.

 

How long does it take to collect an account?

 
It can be from as little as 24 hours, although the majority are collected, a repayment schedule is agreed or the account is passed for legal action or closed within six weeks.

 
What is your collection rate?

 
A difficult question to answer as it all depends on the quality of the debt received. However, FCI have been at the forefront of the Industry for many years offering a No Result – No Fee service. If we were not successful, we would not be in business.

 
What will legal action cost for overseas claims?

 
As each country has it own legal system it is difficult to say. However we will always provide you with an estimate of costs before proceeding.

 
Are there any accounts that you will not accept?

 
We will review and give you an honest opinion on any account you wish to pass. Other agencies will give you a list of accounts they will only accept which have certain criteria, i.e, they are collectable!!

 
How much do you charge for collection?

 
Our fees are dependent upon the age, size and location of debt placed and are available on request.

 
Can I trust First Collect International?
